Abstract

In 5-7 sentences describe the overarching structure of the game. This should include the type of gameplay, any technologies it will use, a description of any narrative that it will have, and the location and time it will take place.

Scenario

This is the full description of the game's plot line, and should lay the ground work for any pre-game story. The scenario should also detail what materials, and how many people are needed to play the game.

Rules

In bullet point form list:

  • explicit rules of the game
  • the physical boundaries to be used
  • the time length of the game
  • any suggested strategies to take in the game

The following should be included in the game Post-Mortem

Assets

All of the technology and media used. This should include any audio files, web sites, or physical devices used in the game.

Game Documentation

Images of people playing the game, web site statistics showing usage, and any other documentation showing what usage patterns of the game were like.

User Experience

Interviews with players after the game, listing what aspects of the game were enjoyed, and which could be improved upon.

Post-Mortem

Final synopsis of what, as the game designer, were aspects that worked well, and what could be improved upon. If you were to do the game over, what would you change?
